Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. In the TV and film industry, she is known for her numerous awards and nominations. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Born and raised at home in New York New York. Bassett along with her sister and their mother were moved to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was 5 years old. Their father split from the mother of their children. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal of becoming an actor had come true. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead parts, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
